7903 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many staff who received a redundancy since 27 November 2023 and were subsequently reappointed to a new role in any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible had a total remuneration package in the new role that was higher than their previous position, if any?

Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. I am advised that, since 27 November 2023, no previously redundant Ministry staff members, and six Health NZ staff members, were re-employed in a new role with a total remuneration package higher than their previous position.
