Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Workplace Relations and Safety: How many staff who received a redundancy since 27 November 2023 and were subsequently reappointed to a new role in any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible had a total remuneration package in the new role that was higher than their previous position, if any?

Hon Brooke van Velden: I am advised that WorkSafe New Zealand does not capture information regarding where former employees are employed and their new rates of remuneration. WorkSafe also does not capture an employee’s former remuneration before starting at WorkSafe. WorkSafe has not rehired any employees who were made redundant since 27 November 2023.
