7852 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How much time elapsed on average between a staff member’s redundancy date and their start date in a new role for those made redundant in the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible who were subsequently reappointed since 27 November 2023?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development that between 27 November 2023 and 3 March 2025, three employees have been rehired after being made redundant. The average time period that has elapsed between their last day and their start date for the new role is 135 days.
