7821 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Justice: Have any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible set budgetary provisions or caps for redundancy payments since 27 November 2023; if so, what were those provisions?

Hon Paul Goldsmith: I am advised that the Ministry set neither a cap nor a specific provision for redundancy payments over this period. The Ministry had a provision of $6.481M for restructure related costs (inclusive of any redundancy costs) in 2023/24 as noted in its annual report.
