7791 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Finance: Have any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible set budgetary provisions or caps for redundancy payments since 27 November 2023; if so, what were those provisions?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury has not set budgetary provisions or caps for redundancy payments. Redundancy payments have been met from within existing budgets. The Reserve Bank of New Zealand have advised me - no.
