7767 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Customs: Have any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible set budgetary provisions or caps for redundancy payments since 27 November 2023; if so, what were those provisions?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that since 27 November 2023, no formal budgetary provisions or caps for redundancy payments have been set by the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs). This response is inclusive of the staff within the Border Executive Board Secretariat, as these staff are considered to be Customs employees.
