Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Customs: Have any of the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible conducted or commissioned reviews or audits of their redundancy and reappointment processes since 27 November 2023, if so, when were these completed, and what were the key findings or recommendations?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that since 27 November 2023, the New Zealand Customs Service (Customs) has not commissioned or completed a review or audit of the Customs 2024 Organisational Change Process. This response is inclusive of the staff within the Border Executive Board Secretariat, as these staff are considered to be Customs employees.
