Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Education: What process, if any, was employed by the Minister’s departments, ministries and agencies to brief the Minister on any savings and their impact on services and functions, as a result of the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have primarily received verbal updates from the Secretary of Education on relevant proposals. I note that many of these remain under consultation with staff and all staffing decisions are the responsibility of the Secretary for Education.
