Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Children: How many staff currently employed in the ministries, agencies, and/or departments for which the Minister is responsible have previously received a redundancy payout since 27 November 2023, and how many of these staff are employed in the same or similar roles to their previous roles?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that six employees are currently employed at Oranga Tamariki who previously received a redundancy payment since 27 November 2023. I am further advised that two of those staff are employed in fixed term roles that are same or similar roles to their previous role.
