Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister of Agriculture: What, if any, requests for business recovery support have been received by himself and/or the Ministry for Primary Industries from stakeholders following the medium scale adverse events in Gisborne/Tairāwhiti, Bay of Plenty, and Canterbury, listed by region?

Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that following recent adverse weather events, the Ministry for Primary Industries received requests for support from Rural Support Trusts in Northland, Bay of Plenty, East Coast, Mid-Canterbury, and from the Tairāwhiti Whenua Charitable Trust. $200,000 has been allocated to Rural Support Trusts in Northland, Bay of Plenty, East Coast and Mid-Canterbury to provide recovery support to farmers and growers affected by the adverse weather events.
