Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister of Agriculture: Has the Minister or their agency made any estimate of the proportion of farmers affected by the medium scale adverse events in Gisborne/Tairāwhiti, Bay of Plenty, and Canterbury who meet the eligibility criteria for Rural Assistance Payments; if so, what is that estimate?

Hon Todd McClay: Eligibility for Rural Assistance Payments are determined on a case-by-case basis on application by Work and Income as they depend on individual circumstances.
