7679 (2026). Ingrid Leary to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: Between which specific dates were claimants emailed, or sent letters to, advising them of changes in board payments; how much notice did they receive before said changes?

Hon Louise Upston: I am advised by the Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) have been advising people who get a housing subsidy or live in public housing regarding the changes to how the Ministry will assess board payments since August 2025. I am further advised that the Ministry started contacting clients from 3 Feb 2026, with housing subsidies impacted by this change, who have declared their boarder/renter contributions since 4 August 2025.
