7678 (2026). Lan Pham to the Minister of Statistics: Does Statistics New Zealand keep data on the impact of climate change on CPI?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised by Stats NZ that while it publishes the Consumers Price Index (CPI) and co-produce New Zealand’s official environmental reporting, Stats NZ does not produce a dataset showing how climate change affects specific items in the CPI.
