7622 (2025). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Associate Minister of Education: What is the total number, if any, of complaints lodged by the Ministry of Education from schools regarding the Ka Ora, Ka Ako programme since the start of Term 1, 2024 until the end of Term 4, 2024; listed by total number of complaints per term and type of complaint (e.g., quality, quantity, delivery, waste/surplus etc.)?

Hon David Seymour: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that there were 104 contacts from 76 schools about 24 different suppliers. Key feedback included food safety and suitability, quality, logistics, and special diets. The Ministry is actively monitoring agreed service levels with the School Lunch Collective during the implementation and early roll out of the programme.
