7545 (2025). Hon Priyanca Radhakrishnan to the Minister of Conservation: What work, if any, is the Minister considering to progress work on reclassifying Stewardship Land?

Hon Tama Potaka: I intend to make final decisions on the reclassification of stewardship land for the Western South Island in mid-2025. I will consider a summary of public submissions report prepared by DOC, alongside input from Treaty partners, Conservation Boards, and the New Zealand Conservation Authority, before making final decisions on whether to proceed with the classification proposals publicly notified in May 2022.
