7543 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Vocational Education: Further to 5587 (2026), what are the names of the four other providers that also received additional funding and how much did they each receive?
Hon Penny Simmonds: I refer the member to the attached table, showing the names of the four providers that received additional funding in 2026 to support additional learners enrolled in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) to align their tuition subsidy funding with School On-Site Training Programme funding already committed to by the Ministry of Education. ITE provision specifically to support the delivery of School On-Site Training Programmes increased from $3.11 million to $6.98 million between 2025 and 2026. The Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) invested an additional $3.12 million, and the remaining $0.76 million has been committed by reallocating existing funding for some TEOs. The TEC has allocated over $64 million in 2026 to support primary and secondary ITE programmes, including the delivery of the School On-Site Training programmes.
