Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Economic Development: How many roles, if any, have been identified for disestablishment in MBIE's Te Waka Putahitanga business group, resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by role title and remuneration band?

Hon Melissa Lee: I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the relevant Chief Executive. However, I am aware that as at 2 April 2024 the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment has publicly confirmed the disestablishment of 3.8 Position/FTEs within the Te Waka Putahitanga business group. I am advised that further change processes are at the discretion of the CE and subject to the outcomes of consultation and redeployment processes.
