7435 (2026). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Associate Minister of Housing: How many Kāinga Ora tenants, if any, have had appliance or chattel replacement charges added to their rent account, resulting in arrears, in the last three financial years, broken down by month?

Hon Tama Potaka: Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities advised me that where an appliance or chattel is replaced and the tenant is charged for that replacement, this is not charged to their rent account which would not result in rent arrears.
