7422 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Climate Change: Is the Government still committed to transport emissions falling 41% by 2035, per the Emissions Reduction Plan?

Hon Simon Watts: The Government remains committed to New Zealand's legislated climate targets. Transport emissions have shown reductions. I am advised between 2021 and 2022, road transport emissions were down 206.0 kt CO2-e. We will continue to work on transport emissions in the second emissions reduction plan, which will be published by the end of 2024.
