7399 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What feedback, if any, has she or her office received from Parents/Caregivers regarding the School Phone Ban policy?
Hon Erica Stanford: I have received a wide variety of feedback on the Away for the Day Policy from various sources including emails and social media. It is not possible to provide all of the feedback I have received as that would involve substantial research and collation. However, here is a sample of some of the feedback I have received.
"Something that's really noticeable is the increased level of social engagement of the tauira at the interval breaks. My duty is on the field and it's quite noticeable that the tauira are engaging and playing more. Impromptu footy games are being played, a group of tauira were twirling around and just playing, and other activities. It is just fabulous to see."
"Love the phone ban, best thing ever!"
"Thank you for the phone ban in schools. It’s a cracker initiative and is working brilliantly."
This is also my response to written parliamentary questions 7400 (2024), 7401 (2024), and 7402 (2024).
