7392 (2024). Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan to the Minister of Education: What is the framework and criteria, if any, for ensuring the success of strengthening teacher training?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am considering how to improve training for new and existing teachers, to ensure they have the confidence and skills to teach the basics brilliantly. Taking action on teacher training, including refocusing professional learning and development for teachers on core areas is a priority for our Government. Decisions on these initiatives will be announced as and when they are made.
