7389 (2024). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister for the Prevention of Family and Sexual Violence: What particular programmes or actions (if any) is the minister and/or the department undertaking to prevent family and sexual violence at the Gloriavale Christian Community?

Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised Te Puna Aonui does not have a specific programme of work relating to preventing family and sexual violence in the Gloriavale Christian Community. Te Puna Aonui is responsible for the overall National Strategy to Eliminate Family Violence and Sexual Violence -Te Aorerekura. Other agencies including Oranga Tamariki and the Police work with the Gloriavale Christian Community to prevent and respond to incidents of harm.
