7345 (2026). Hon Dr Duncan Webb to the Minister responsible for Ministerial Services: Further to WPQ 6129 (2026) is the government obliged to keept the price of the vehicles secret as a result of the contractual terms of purchase; if not what is the nature of the "commercial sensitivity" referred to?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: Further to my response to WPQ 6129 (2026), I note that decisions regarding the contractual terms of the agreement are operational matters for the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA). I have been advised by Ministerial Services that DIA was able to negotiate a fleet price with the manufacturer that met its specifications. This negotiated price is commercially sensitive.
