7317 (2026). Hon Jo Luxton to the Minister of Education: For students who may no longer be eligible for dedicated school bus services, what public transport options are available to them, and how, if at all, does the Ministry assess whether those options are appropriate for the area, accessible, and safe?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education that local authorities who deliver public transport will have the most accurate and current advice about the transport options available to students who may no longer be eligible for dedicated school bus services.
