7306 (2026). Ingrid Leary to the Associate Minister of Health: What actions, if any, under the refreshed Dementia Mate Wareware Action Plan 2026 – 2031 are there that address young/early onset dementia?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that the refreshed Dementia Mate Wareware Action Plan 2026–2031 was developed by the four lead Dementia Mate Wareware Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs): Alzheimer’s NZ, Dementia NZ, the New Zealand Dementia Foundation, and the Mate Wareware Advisory Rōpū. I am further advised the refreshed plan prioritises people with young/early onset dementia as one of its key focus groups.
