7297 (2026). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: How much training, if any, is given to compliance officers before conducting immigration compliance visits?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that every Compliance Officer must complete and pass the Immigration Officer training, then progress into the Compliance Officer Induction Pathway. Following this, a person will be designated as a Compliance Officer. Any visits undertaken are authorised by a Compliance Manager.
