7292 (2026). Ricardo Menéndez March to the Minister of Immigration: How many, if any, overstayers are estimated to have been in New Zealand for at least 5 years?

Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised that 10,870 individuals that were identified as being unlawfully in New Zealand as at 1 July 2025 had been in New Zealand for at least five years prior to that date (as at 1 July 2025).
