7292 (2024). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister for Children: How much is it estimated that the proposed job cuts at Oranga Tamariki will save the agency, expressed as an absolute amount, as a percentage of departmental funding, and as a percentage of total funding?

Hon Karen Chhour: The Oranga Tamariki baseline reduction savings exercise is part of the Budget 2024 process. These decisions will be announced on 30 May, and the advice underpinning them will be released publicly via the proactive release in the weeks after Budget day.
