7287 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: How many vacancies, if any, does Te Whatu ora currently have as at 19 April 2024?

Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that Health New Zealand is not able to provide vacancy data for the period requested. I am further advised that Health New Zealand does not maintain a distinction between “new” and “existing” positions in its national Health Workforce Information Programme (HWIP) collection; it collects data on all positions which exist at the date of collection and is unable to distinguish roles based on the recency of their creation.
