7279 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister for the Public Service: What assessments, if any, were made of the local economic impact of proposes public service job losses on Wellington City and the Greater Wellington Region?

Hon Nicola Willis: As Minister for the Public Service, I have not received specific advice on this. However, I have been advised that overall the upcoming budget is likely to create more public service roles (largely in frontline roles in health, corrections and police for example) than it will disestablish.
