7276 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister for the Public Service: What advice, if any, has the Minister received regarding the economic impact of proposed public sector losses regarding the scale, severity, speed and geographic concentration of job losses?

Hon Nicola Willis: The Treasury has not made a specific assessment of the economic impact of public sector job losses. We have provided a Treasury Report with an overview of the aggregate economic outlook which incorporates the government’s fiscal policy. This outlook will be released as part of the Budget Economic and Fiscal Update in late-May 2024.
