7273 (2024). Tamatha Paul to the Minister of Housing: How many, if any, more evictions a year does the Minister expect to result from no-cause evictions?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that it is possible that there is some pent-up demand for terminations due to the changes made by the previous government. There may therefore be a small spike in terminations following reinstatement of 90-day ‘no cause’ terminations. However, I expect that the rate of terminations would soon settle to a new normal.
