7175 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to WPQ 5301 (2026), of the 459 fraudulently converted licences, how many licence holders have been identified as having been involved in crashes or recorded safety incidents during the period their licence was held, and how many of those cases have been referred to Police or resulted in enforcement action?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that this information forms part of NZTA’s current investigation. Therefore, I do not consider it appropriate to provide this information. It should be noted that all crashes that are in the Crash Analysis System are recorded by NZ Police and NZ Police will have considered any appropriate enforcement action at the time.
