7170 (2026). Tangi Utikere to the Minister of Transport: Further to WPQ 5301 (2026), does the Minister expect the analysis referred to in his reply to be released publicly once any legal proceedings have concluded; if so, when?

Hon Chris Bishop: No. NZTA advised me it does not release information of this type when it is related to small and specific cohorts of individuals under Section 9(2)(a) of the Official Information Act 1982. The rectification approach undertaken was designed to ensure any safety risk was addressed, and NZTA will continue to undertake compliance monitoring of individuals as commercial drivers.
