7073 (2024). Hon Kieran McAnulty to the Minister of Housing: How many public houses, excluding state houses, were there at 31 December 2023 and how does that number compare to the number of such houses on 31 December 2008 and 31 December 2017?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that there were 12,858 public homes managed by Community Housing Providers as at 31 December 2023. There were 5,083 public homes managed by Community Housing Providers as at 31 December 2017. There were no public homes managed by Community Housing Providers before 2015.
