Hon Karen Chhour: I am advised by Oranga Tamariki that the information requested is not recorded in a way that allows this question to be answered. However, Oranga Tamariki have acknowledged that there may have been times where social workers may have used section 7AA to justify decision making in relation to care arrangements for Māori children which may not have been safe or in their best interests.
