7053 (2024). Chlöe Swarbrick to the Minister of Finance: Has the Minister requested any advice on how Government decisions, such as the Transport GPS and 'cut[ing] coal mining consent red tape' may impact our ability to meet emissions targets domestically, thus potentially generating offshore financial liability?
Hon Nicola Willis: Ministers receive a range of advice when considering policy proposals and may request information on emissions impacts, where relevant. The second Emissions Reduction Plan (ERP 2) will set out the Government’s overall approach to meeting our domestic emissions reductions targets. ERP2 will be published before the end of the year.
