7024 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Transport: What is the salary band for a chief economist role in the Minister's departments, if any, if such a role or an equivalent role exists in those departments, if any?

Hon Chris Bishop: I am advised that the Ministry has one equivalent position, which is called Chief Economist and Manager. This position is on band 20 of the Ministry's remuneration framework. I am advised that NZTA does not employ anyone in this role or equivalent.
