6981 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Associate Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter (October - December 2023) in implementing the objective ‘remove alcohol advertising and sponsorship’ under ‘Pillar 1: Policy Change’ within the National Alcohol Harm Minimisation Framework 2022?

Hon Matt Doocey: I am advised that Health New Zealand does not report against this framework but work has progressed to minimise alcohol harm. I am further advised that Health New Zealand's work programme includes a sports and alcohol programme that works with sporting bodies and clubs to remove alcohol sponsorship and advertising; encourages alcohol free sporting environments, and supports health and wellbeing promotion in sports clubs.
