6966 (2024). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the last quarter (October - December 2023) toward the outcome ‘Ensuring whānau live in a warm, dry and healthy home that meets their needs’ under ‘focus area one: whānau ora (Determinants of wellbeing and primary prevention)’ within the Rheumatic Fever Roadmap?
Hon Dr Shane Reti: I am advised that in the October – December 2023, Health New Zealand continued to support the delivery of the Healthy Homes Initiative. I am further advised that there was a 17% increase in the delivery of interventions during the quarter, predominantly to Māori and Pacific whānau at risk of rheumatic fever, to support them to live in a warmer dryer home.
