6934 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: What is the salary band for a chief economist role in the Minister's departments, if any, if such a role or an equivalent role exists in those departments, if any?

Hon Louise Upston: The Ministry does have a Chief Advisor: Economics and Policy, which reports to the Deputy Chief Executive Policy. This position is on the Ministry’s SM3 salary range, being $175,102 – $258,401.
