Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister for Social Development and Employment: How many roles, if any, have been identified for disestablishment in the Ministry of Social Development’s Office of the Chief Executive, resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by role title and remuneration band?

Hon Louise Upston: The Ministry of Social Development (the Ministry) has not identified any roles at this stage for disestablishment. The Ministry has recently announced that they are working through targeted change processes which can be found at the following link: www.msd.govt.nz/about-msd-and-our-work/newsroom/2024/voluntary-redundancies-confirmed.html.
