6872 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister for Land Information: What asset valuations, if any, have been requested by the Minister or their department, if any, since 27 November 2023, and on what dates, if any?

Hon Chris Penk: I have not requested any valuations for specific Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) assets since 27 November 2023. I have been advised that LINZ obtains valuations on a regular basis for a variety of reasons including: • Determining holding values for the LINZ Annual Report • Determining appropriate lease costs for commercial, residential and pastoral properties • Supporting the transfer of assets under treaty settlement • Supporting the sale of LINZ managed property to iwi or other parties
