Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Finance: How many roles, if any, have been identified for disestablishment in the Treasury’s 'New Zealand Debt Management', resulting from the Government’s directive to reduce expenditure in the public service, listed by role title and remuneration band?

Hon Nicola Willis: I am advised that these decisions are the responsibility of the relevant Chief Executive. Furthermore, I am aware that The Treasury has publicly confirmed they are currently working toward a reduction of approximately 50 roles through attrition, the ending of fixed term roles and closing of vacancies.
