6846 (2026). Francisco Hernandez to the Prime Minister: How many vacancies, if any, were there in the Minister’s departments, agencies, crown entities and any other bodies that the Minister is responsible for, if any, as of 1 January 2026?

Rt Hon Christopher Luxon: In my capacity as Prime Minister, I am the responsible minister for the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet. I am advised by officials that there were 28 vacancies in DPMC as at 6 January 2026. Data relating to the previous years requested is not available as DPMC systems cannot capture this information retrospectively.
