6781 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Customs: What is the salary band for a chief economist role in the Minister's departments, if any, if such a role or an equivalent role exists in those departments, if any?

Hon Casey Costello: I am advised that, as at 26 February 2025, the New Zealand Customs Service does not have a Chief Economist role. This response is inclusive of the Border Executive Board Secretariat as the New Zealand Customs Service is the servicing department.
