6724 (2026). Hon Willow-Jean Prime to the Minister of Education: Further to 3521 (2026), what method did the Ministry of Education use to collect feedback from schools participating in the new reporting framework trial and how many schools provided feedback?
Hon Erica Stanford: I am advised by the Ministry of Education (the Ministry) that the initial four progress descriptors, along with guidance on how to use them, were released to schools via Tāhūrangi for them to provide feedback.
This was not a trial, but an opportunity for schools and organisations to have input.
The Ministry actively engaged with a targeted group of principals and associations for feedback which was received via a Ministry email address. 107 emails were received, representing 85 schools (individually or in a collective), and the rest from a combination of groups (such as community leaders) and individuals.
