6723 (2025). Francisco Hernandez to the Minister of Agriculture: What protections, if any, exist in the Minister's department, if any, to prevent New Zealanders' information shared with US government departments, if any, being shared with third parties?
Hon Todd McClay: I am advised that the Ministry for Primary Industries have systems in place to protect private and personal information in line with the privacy requirements stipulated in New Zealand law. This includes strict protocols in respect of information sharing.
