Ingrid Leary to the Minister of Education: Between 26/11/23 and 22/02/24, what advice, reports, briefings, aide memoires, or any other documents, if any, has the Minister, or any member of her Office received regarding the reduction in number of school building projects in the Otago/Southland region?

Hon Erica Stanford: I have not received any advice regarding the reduction in number of school building projects in the Otago/Southland region. The Ministry of Education (the Ministry) has initiated a process for reviewing 352 Ministry-led projects across 305 schools and kura pre-construction to identify opportunities to achieve better value for money. The value for money reviews are an operational matter for the Ministry and are not related to the Ministerial Inquiry into school property.
