6589 (2025). Hon Dr Ayesha Verrall to the Minister of Health: What progress, if any, has been made in the quarter October to December 2024 to achieve the expectation ‘Increase the capacity of the mental health and addiction workforce, including by increasing the training places for clinical psychologists and psychiatrists and growing the Consumer, Peer Support and Lived Experience (CPSLE) workforce’ under the objective ‘4.1 Improve training pathways and develop a more culturally safe and competent workforce’ within the Government Policy Statement on Health 2024–2027?
Hon Simeon Brown: Our Government is focused on delivering timely, quality healthcare for all New Zealanders. As has been said to the Member in previous Written Parliamentary Question replies, Health New Zealand will give effect to the Government Policy Statement through the New Zealand Health Plan.
